Elke Peters (°1976) is a Teacher Assistant of Linguistics at the University of Leuven. In 1998, she graduated in Germanic languages (English and German) at the K.U.Leuven. One year later, she finished her teacher training. She worked at the department of literature (German literature) for two years. In the academic year 2000-2001, she participated in a teacher training project, which aimed at developing a CALL-environment. One year later, she was made responsible for the implementation of a CALL-environment in the study programme of "Linguistics and literature". Since all these jobs at the Catholic University of Leuven were part-time, she combined them with a part-time teaching job at the Centre of Languages in Leuven, where she taught EFL and German as a foreign language. She is currently a fourth year PhD student in Second Language Acquisition and a teacher assistant at the Faculty of Arts (department of linguistics).
