Xiaoli Wu is a PhD student at the faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Leuven. She obtained a BA in English Language Education, and then completed a MA in Applied Linguistics in 2003 at Shenyang Normal University in China. In 2002, she obtained another Masters degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Leuven. She is currently working on a PhD thesis on the role of student mediating variables between instruction and learning. The research is supervised by Prof. Dr. Joost Lowyck and Prof. Dr. Lies Sercu.
