Lobke Ghesquière obtained her MA in Germanic
languages (English and Dutch) at the University of Leuven in 2006.
She also holds an MA in Advanced Studies in Linguistics (interuniversity
cooperation, 2007). Since July 2007 she was appointed as a researcher
on the IAP project P6/44 Grammaticalization and (inter)subjectification.
In December 2011 she defended her PhD entitled The directionality
of (inter)subjectification processes in the English noun phrase:
Pathways of change, supervised by Kristin
Davidse and Hendrik De Smet. Since January 2012 she is working as a postdoctoral researcher on a scholarship granted by the Research Council of KU Leuven.
